Justin, who was spotted at the press conference for Superbowl's Pepsi Half Time Show on Thursday in Minneapolis, took some time out from his hectic schedule to discuss his new album.

Clearly still infatuated with his wife Jessica - who he wed in 2012 - Justin confessed that his track Montana was a tribute for her.

'I proposed to my wife there (Montana). Yeah. We love it there. Originally, the title of the song didn't come until the end. Just that reprise at the end, it just takes me back.

'And I was like oh you know, I’ll just call the song ‘Montana’...It's also it's also my favourite lyric on the whole album,' she enthused.

'You hear all these stories about people who work together that are you know bonded otherwise and it was so easy. I actually hope we get to work together again on more stuff,' he explained about the partnership with Jessica.

He continued: 'You know because having her around, she's such an influence on the album and so in that song being so special it just felt like a great moment for us to share.

'And I just wanted it to be honest. There are other songs on the album that videos that I feel require a different level of performance but that one was the first song written for the album that was written specifically about her.'

Speaking about their son Silas appearing in the video for Young Man, Justin revealed:

'At the end of the record, I was at the studio and it was a video that that my wife recorded of him and they were singing Happy Birthday to me because I was working on my birthday at the studio, and at the end he just says "I love you" and it’s one of those things that your like, you know.

'I always knew I wanted to write a song for him, but I didn't know it was going to be a song to him. You know it really turned out to be like if I was going to write him a letter, I’d probably be more wordy and specific in the letter, but this was like just my love letter to him that I felt like maybe this is something he can have as sort of a time capsule,' he confessed.

On Sunday, Justin will perform in the legendary halftime slot at the Super Bowl, which this year will be held at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

And the hunk clearly looked in high spirits as he took to the podium at the sporting event's press conference to speak about his major upcoming gig.

The former NSYNC star couldn't wipe the smile from his face as he emerged in a trendy plaid shirt and jeans with a football in his hand.

When it emerged in October that Justin had got this gig, there was a bit of a controversy, given his last Super Bowl halftime appearance.

During the 2004 halftime show, he was performing onstage with Janet Jackson when a 'wardrobe malfunction' occurred that entered American history.

In the words of a statement from Janet's rep at the time, via E! News: 'Justin was supposed to pull away the rubber bustier to reveal a red lace bra. The garment collapsed and her breast was accidentally revealed.'

A rash of negative consequences followed for Janet's career, including a Viacom blacklist of her singles and videos, plus a pulled invitation from the Grammy Awards held the next week, not to mention the loss of a biopic gig playing Lena Horne.

Justin, meanwhile, was neither blacklisted by Viacom nor uninvited from the Grammy Awards.

Though the FCC moved to fine CBS $550,000 over 'Nipplegate,' a legal battle ensued and the Third Circuit Court Of Appeals voided the penalty in 2011.

Some have felt it was unfair for the Super Bowl to bring back Justin and not Janet, and the hashtag #JusticeForJanet sprang up on Twitter.

The NFL have clarified she is not banned, so Justin could request that she accompany him this Super Bowl - yet not all of Janet's defenders liked that idea.

As Wendy Williams said on her chat show in October: 'Janet, I wouldn't stoop. You're a Jackson, for God's sakes.'
