Jason Bateman steps out with wife Amanda Anka for Game Night premiere... after it was revealed they 'tried to save Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's marriage'

Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka reportedly tried to salvage Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's marriage earlier this year.

And almost one week after Jennifer and Justin announced their split, Jason and Amanda stepped out for the premiere of Game Night in Hollywood.

The 49-year-old actor, who produced and starred in the comedy, looked dapper in his suit and tie while posing besides his stylish wife.

According to Us Weekly, Jennifer and Justin's holiday to Cabo San Lucas in early January was a last ditch effort to salvage their marriage.

Amanda had convinced the stars to join her and her husband Jason for a beach trip to try and get the duo to 'work through their problems and save their marriage.'

According to the source, 'The Cabo trip was a make or break vacation for Jen and Justin.'

Unfortunately, the 'guys and girls hung out separately' and their efforts to patch their marriage failed.

On Thursday, Jennifer and Justin announced they were separating after two and a half years of marriage.
