Oprah Winfrey taped an appearance for Thursday's edition of Ellen DeGeneres's chat show and found herself being fought over by the comedienne and her A Wrinkle In Time co-star Reese Witherspoon.

After chatting with Oprah about being targeted in a tweet by Donald Trump over her 60 Minutes segment on Sunday, Ellen revealed she was somewhat jealous of Reese for suggesting she was better friends with the media mogul.

So, in order to settle the debate, Oprah hosted a trivia contest between Ellen and Reese in which she asked questions about herself to see who knew her better.

The Big Little Liars star made a surprise appearance on the show wearing a brown polka dot dress.

'We talk every morning,' Reese bragged about her friendship with Oprah. 'She told me she was coming on your show.'

'Why can't we all just be best friends,' Oprah inquired.

Ellen then explained to her studio audience: 'Oprah's going to ask some questions about herself and the person who answers correctly gets a point.'

'If I win the audience gets a prize from Fandango and if Reese wins, they get nothing,' she added.

'Most likely to be on TV,' proffered Ellen.

Both were wrong.

'No, it was most popular,' Oprah told them.

She then asked if they knew what her secret margarita ingredient was, but they didn't know. It turned out to be freshly squeezed lime.

She then asked: Which of the following do I not have - a Grammy, an Emy, an oscar or a Tony?

Reese guessed she'd never won an Emmy... while Ellen knew she had won an Oscar.

'It's Grammy,' Oprah said.

Victory: In the end, Ellen won the showdown

In the end, Ellen won the showdown by correctly saying Oprah had won an Academy Award for her performance in the film the Color Purple and that Dr.Phil had been the regular Tuesday guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Oprah stars as Mrs. Which and Reese as Mrs. Whatsit in the big screen adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's 1962 novel A Wrinkle In Time.

The fantasy adventure directed by Ava DuVernay is set to be released by Disney on March 9.
