And while Megan McKenna was determined to party the night away at the National Television Awards at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday night, she was forced to bow out early after her symptoms flared up again.
Her exit from the star-studded bash came after she encountered an incredibly awkward run-in with her ex beau Pete Wicks on the red carpet after they split for good in October following a turbulent 18 month romance.

Despite forcing to call it a wrap on the night early, Megan looked undeniably happy and healthy as she hit the red carpet in her gorgeous rose-design gown.
The reality star proved to be the ultimate trooper as it was was revealed by The Sun that she was 'rushed to hospital by ambulance with a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius last week' which left her with not even enough energy to 'pick up a phone.'
After spending time hooked up to a drip in hospital, which left her with 'bruises', she was diagnosed with 'infectious colitis.'
Colitis is when the inner lining of the colon becomes inflamed and symptoms cane range from mild to intense pain.

Megan was said to be gutted to be leaving the event early as it was claimed that 'as much as she was looking forward to a good night out, it just wasn't worth the risk. Health has to come first.'
The brunette's illness wasn't visible at all as she injected some colour to the red carpet with her fabulous floral design.
The Essex stunner slipped into a strapless rose-embellished gown, with a curve-hugging boustier to show off her enviable figure.
Megan's lavish ensemble billowed down with her extraordinary skirt, which stopped mid-length to showcase her gym-honed pins.
The decadent train of her dress draped down behind her as she posed on the red-carpet, catching all the attention as she sauntered past the cameras.
