Ale fail! Shopper childishly riding on the back of his grocery cart tips it and smashes his newly-bought beers

Learning that you're too big to ride on the back of a grocery cart can be a tough coming of age lesson to swallow.

And for one man in Russia, he learned the hard way. Dashboard camera footage shows the unidentified shopped exiting a grocery store at around 10pm while wheeling himself in the air with his trolley.

But the weight of his body tips the front end of the cart up and he crashes to the ground on his knees, smashing a crate of beer in the process.

He then looks around to see if anyone witnessed the embarrassing incident.

With no one else nearby, he meekly limps back over to his shopping wagon and tips it the right way up.

To date the film of the shopping cart accident has been watched more than 260,000 times since it was uploaded to YouTube.

One viewer commented after watching the shopper in action: 'It always impresses me how people; even after facing dire situations like this, are able to just pick up the pieces and move on.'

And another added: 'This could have ended more badly for the guy. It seems like a dangerous idea to be riding on the cart like that.'
