Elizabeth Hurley, 52, goes hell for leather in tight trousers as she plugs The Royals on Extra with her co-stars

She plays a fictional Queen Mother of England on the E! soap The Royals.

But Elizabeth Hurley exuded a much more casual form of chic when she swung by Extra in Times Square on Wednesday to plug the show.

The impeccably preserved 52-year-old showed off her vertiginous legs in skintight black leather trousers whilst promoting the series alongside her co-stars William Moseley and Alexandra Park, who play her character's twin children.

Inasmuch as she was outdoors and New York was in the grip of winter storm Quinn, Liz - who famously dated Hugh Grant in the 1990s - wore two jackets.

She flung a thick camouflage-patterned coat over another bright red wrap, which featured a hood splashily lined with faux fur.

Accentuating her superstar features with makeup, Liz wore her wavy dirty blonde hair down and balanced on sky-high stiletto boots.

Combat the cold in camouflage like Elizabeth

Elizabeth Hurley traded in her usual bikini and beaches outfit for the arctic chill of New York. Turns out, she can ace her style in winter wear too!

She made an appearance at Extra in Times Square--looking biker-chic in a pair of needle thin stiletos and slick leather pants. Polishing off her edgy look--Elizabeth kept cozy in this camouflage parka from...wait for it...PrettyLittleThing!

That's right, Elizabeth Hurley opted for this red fur lined parka from one of our favorite high-street haunts. Making this $120 coat look like a million bucks!

The good news for us Elizabeth obsessives is that her jacket is still up for grabs by clicking right to PrettyLittleThing! Or combat the cold with one of the camo alternatives in the edit below-- one thing seems certain: winter isn't going anywhere just yet.

Alexandra, a 28-year-old who originally hails from Sydney, showcased her enviably chiseled midriff beneath a turtlenecked black crop top.

She complemented the top with a high-waisted pencil skirt hemmed just above the ankle, high enough to offer a glimpse of her charcoal boots.

The cold had compelled her to double up on wraps as well, pulling on a sleek black leather jacket beneath a knee-length matching overcoat.

This trio of The Royals actors were also pap-snapped while strolling through New York City that day, caught in the storm that has hit the Big Apple.

Carrying an elegant Gucci purse and a bouquet, she gave herself an extra bit of warmth with a leopard print scarf and warded off the rays with aviator sunglasses.

William, meanwhile, was wearing a similar ensemble to his Extra one, except that the black coat was switched out for a smaller off-white one.

Alexandra ambled beneath the snowfall in a different getup entirely, clashing black and and white pinstriped slacks with a pale grey coat and white blouse.

Gripping a large black bag that appeared to be paper in one hand, she balanced some folders in the other, and made her way around on platform boots.

Season four of The Royals, which premieres Sunday night, sees Liz' Helena as Queen Mother, while William's Liam and Alexandra's Eleanor are Prince and Princess.

Eleanor and Liam's elder brother Robert, who dramatically reappears in season three after being presumed dead, is played by Max Brown and is King of England.

Liz, Alexandra and William also appeared on the BUILD Series at AOL Studios in New York to promote the series that day - and Liz dished about its tone.

As the actress who most transparently has the measure of the program, Liz held forth on the balance it's struck between being dramatic and tongue-in-cheek.

'When we first got the pilot, we weren't quite sure what genre it was, 'cause it is campy drama, or it's got comedy. It's got everything in it, so,' said Liz.

'But really, I think in this season, we really followed the drama a lot with some really good little segues off into - in my case, I get quite a lot of quite silly comedy to do in this season,' the elegantly attired grande dame explained.

'Will gets a lot of high drama, and then we get angst and emotion from the beautiful princess,' said Liz of her fellow actors' roles, referring latterly to Alexandra.

Whilst they were at the studios, they posed up together, and Liz managed to get snapped by herself as well in front of the BUILD-themed backdrop.

She was in the same leather trousers she wore on Extra, but rather than the sweater she wore thereto, Liz had pulled on a gleaming ruffled Prussian blue blouse.
