Cameron Diaz steps out for St. Paddy's Day party with hubby Benji Madden after pal Selma Blair mistakenly announced her retirement

Cameron Diaz was recently rumored to be retiring from show business after pal Selma Blair misspoke in an interview last week.

The Charlie's Angels starlet was seen out and about for the first time since the minor Saturday in LA, where she made a call while on her way to a St. Patrick's Day party with husband Benji Madden.

The San Diego-born actress, 45, actress looked comfortable and chic in a warm peacoat and dark jeans while out during the windy California day.

She polished up her look with a pair of heeled boots while adding a pop of color with a bright red bag.

Diaz styled her hair in twin French braids while keeping a makeup free glow on her face.

Besides her, her musician hubby looked tough in a black hoodie and baggy pants paired with several chunky chains and a smoothly shaved head.

Last week Cameron's friend Selma Blair was forced to backtrack, after telling the world her friend Cameron Diaz had retired from acting.

Having said in an interview that the Something About Mary star was 'done' with acting, she is now insisting her comments were a joke taken out of context.

'Guys please, I was making a joke in an interview,' said Selma. 'CAMERON DIAZ is NOT retiring from ANYTHING. And for more breaking news: I am NOW retiring from being Cameron Diaz’s spokesperson.'

Cameron has been on a hiatus since the release of Annie back in 2014, where she starred as Miss Hannigan.

But an insider told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: 'Cameron is constantly inundated with film scripts trying to tempt her out of retirement but she’s just not interested.

Diaz and her husband Benji Madden, 39, met in 2014 after being introduced by Nicole Richie and married seven months later in an intimate ceremony at the actress's Beverly Hills home in January 2015.

Back in January, Us Weekly reported that the starlet was more interested in starting a family than continuing her career in front of the camera.

'Cameron hasn’t wanted to work,' a source told the magazine, 'She is enjoying being at home and being a housewife, she would love more than anything to be a mom.'
