Val Kilmer is in better health after battling throat cancer for two years.
But on Tuesday the 58-year-old Top Gun actor looked to be a little under the weather as he wore a surgical mask when arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles. The Juilliard graduate also added a cap and sunglasses which made him almost unrecognizable.

The Batman Forever star carried a heavy black-and-silver bag over his shoulder.
Kilmer has been known to wear scarves around his neck after he went in for a Tracheostomy during his cancer fight.
On his neck is a slight scar from the operation.
The scarf he wore on Tuesday was multicolored, made of wool and heavy with it worn tight on his neck. He added a black down jacket, a grey sweater, black slacks and light grey shoes.
In great health: In 2013 Val was seen at an event in LA looking fine
Doing well: In January 2017 the Mindhunters star kept his head down as he went into a pre Golden Globe party in Beverly Hills
It was not easy seeing his face under the grey hat that had Miami written in green on front.
Val has been open about his cancer battle after denying he was ill for years.
In April the Heat actor used the word cancer to describe his ailment for the first time during a discussion with a fan during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Wednesday.
Many have held fears for the Deja Vu actor since 2015 when he was seen at UCLA Medical Center and then two months later in December with a tracheostomy tube in his neck.
Covered up again: He tied what appeared to be a sweater around his beck while at a Warriors basketball game in LA in 2014 with his son Jack
Actor Michael Douglas then went to say his friend and fellow actor was battling oral cancer, the same cancer Michael had until going into remission in 2013.
The fan asked Val: 'A while ago, Michael Douglas claimed you had terminal cancer. What was the story behind that?'
Val responded: 'He was probably trying to help me cause press probably asked where I was these days, and I did have a healing of cancer, but my tongue is still swollen altho healing all the time [sic].
'Because I don't sound my normal self yet people think I may still be under the weather.'
Still hiding his neck: And in 2015 Kilmer also covered his throat at a Clippers game in LA
The unusual wording - 'a healing of cancer' - is likely due to Val's Christian Scientist beliefs.

The Christian denomination believes that sickness is a 'mental error' and that one can be healed of physical and mental illnesses through prayer.
The Christian sect used to avoid all medical practitioners but now many modern followers will see a doctor - but largely seek healing through a Christian Science practitioner.
Val has previously denied having cancer saying he was suffering from a swollen tongue after a procedure.
In November, after Michael suggested the Batman star was 'dealing with exactly what I had,' Val took to Facebook and said: 'I love Michael Douglas but he is misinformed.
'The last time I spoke to him was almost two years ago, when I asked him for a referral for a specialist to get a diagnosis for a lump in my throat, which prevented me from continuing a tour of my play CITIZEN TWAIN.'

He added: 'I ended up using a team at UCLA and have no cancer whatsoever. I still have a swollen tongue and am rehabbing steadily.'
Val also shared: 'Some fans have mistakenly thought my silence about my personal issues meant that somehow I wasn't being responsible to my health, because of my reliance on prayer and Love. Nothing could be further from the truth.
'Altho I am very grateful for all the support from around the world, when people found out I had a physical challenge.'

He was last seen in December in Miami to support The Last Ten Years: Tracey Emin in Conversation with Alastair Gordon event held at Soho Beach House.
In December the star spoke of his cancer treatment while posing with his two children, Jack and Mercedes, for The Hollywood Reporter's Hollywood Legacies issue in December.
'I was too serious,' Kilmer said.
'I'd get upset when things like Oscars and recognition failed to come my way. I would like to have more Oscars than anybody. Meryl Streep must feel pretty good, you know? It must feel nice to know that everyone loves her. It's about being loved.'
Val can next be seen in the film 1st born with Denise Richards. He is also in pre-production on the film Rip Tide with Mira Sorvino.
