Wendy Williams is speaking with Amy Robach on Good Morning America on Monday, in her first interview since she took a three-week leave of absence from her talk show to manage her Graves Disease. The 53-year-old mother and doyenne of daytime television reveals in the interview that she had not been managing her disease in the months before she announced her upcoming leave last month, and says this is what led to her multiple fainting spells.

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT: Josh Morrison, 45, said he was brutally attacked in his own home by three robbers after he opened his door to aid a woman who was frantically screaming for help. Morrison said he getting ready to fire up his grill on March 11 when he heard a loud knock on the front door of his Portland home. A woman was screaming and urging him to open the door saying she was trying to get away from danger, according to a GoFundMe page set up for Morrison. When he opened the door, the 'female charged into him, striking him repeatedly in the face'. According to Morrison's account, two men then rushed into his home behind the woman and they also assaulted him. He was later found outside his front door when Portland police responded to his home near Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard and Liebe Street. Morrison underwent surgery and stayed in the hospital for days. Portland police are still investigating the attack.

Shocking videos show blatant ballot rigging as Vladimir Putin headed towards a landslide victory in Sunday's Russian presidential election. In the Moscow suburb of Lyubertsy, a stash of filled-in votes was put in the ballot box by an election official. Soon after, another official put more ballot papers in the box - all caught by CCTV cameras. It comes as an exit poll showed Putin had won the election with 73.9 per cent of the vote. The voting projection, by pollster VTsIOM, put Communist party challenger Pavel Grudinin in second place with 11.2 per cent. Vladimir Zhirinovsky, head of the nationalist Liberal Democratic Party, was on 6.7 per cent, and TV personality Ksenia Sobchak had 2.5 per cent, the exit poll showed.

Wedding photographer Jenna Kutcher, 29, from Wisconsin, has opened up about how Internet trolls tried to drag her down for being married to whom she refers to as 'Mr Six-Pack', her husband, Drew (pictured together, right). She said she received a direct message from someone saying 'they couldn't believe [she] had managed to land a guy as good looking' as Drew. In reply, Jenna posted a photo on Instagram on Wednesday of her and her husband walking on a beach in Hawaii, both dressed in swimsuits (left). She wrote: ‘'So yes, my thighs kiss, my arms are big, and my bum is bumpy but there is just more of me for him to love and I chose the man that could handle alllll that (and so much more!).' As of Sunday afternoon, the post has received more than 40,000 likes and more than 2,000 comments. The majority of the comments were supportive and positive, feeling Jenna overwhelmed with appreciation.

Ismael Chamu, 21, attends the University of California, Berkeley, but lives in a small trailer with his three siblings. He is responsible for providing for them while he attends college. The 21-year-old is a son of immigrants from Mexico but was born in San Diego, California. Despite constantly moving around, he was able to garner stellar grades and get into the university. While financial aid helps students who come from low-income families, it typically does not cover housing costs. Ismael lives with his three siblings in a trailer with no heat or proper sewage. Donald Trump Jr. spent the weekend with his children following the news of his divorce with his wife Vanessa. An attempted theft from a Costco in Seattle on Wednesday was stopped short when shoplifters ran right into the arms of police with their hands full of merchandise that hadn't been paid for (middle). Police are seen at right, at the top, staged outside the fire exit, which has been used to make a getaway during a previous theft at the store. So 98-year-old Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt was more thankful than shocked when Donte Ingram hit a last-second 3-pointer to beat Miami in the Ramblers' first NCAA Tournament game in 33 years. 'After the game, she sends a general email to the team,' Ingram said after the 64-62 first-round win Thursday.

Professional golfer Rory McIlroy is competing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational near Orlando, Florida. He almost approached a drunken fan on Saturday after they heckled about his wife, Erica Stoll (pictured inset). The Northern Ireland golfer entered the final round of the tournament on Sunday in third position with a chance to take the title. But he was thrown off on Saturday by drunken fans who thought they could heckle at him about his wife. He said tournaments should stop selling liquor or limit it to prevent fans from becoming too disorderly. McIlroy has had fans thrown off in the past for disorderly conduct.

Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh was a famous spiritual guru in India who created a commune near Antelope, Oregon in 1981. Years later the cult would lead the largest poison attack in US history. The cult, home to 1,600 followers, would overtake the town of Antelope by burning buildings, poison, and murder plots in an effort to control its politics.

Shaun Wheeler (left), 39, remains in custody after admitting to police that he killed his wife, Cory Ann Ehlers (far rigth), 39, who is the mother of his four step-children, in Rochester Hills, Michigan on Monday. Wheeler has been charged with first-degree murder and felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, with a court date set for March 29. He remains in custody without bail at this time. Ehlers is seen at right with three of her four children.

Christi Ruhtz, 41, was fired from her 20 year post as a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office lieutenant after she was caught drunk driving in reverse at 2am on Sunday morning with a BAC of 0.14 and 0.13. The Florida woman's driving called police on the scene where officers found her with bloodshot eyes and reeking of alcohol. She was charged with driving under the influence and was booked into Pinellas County jail but was released upon her own her recognizance.

Kayla Hatcher, from Grand Bay, Alabama, said she 'didn't recognize' herself in the photos from her cousin's wedding (pictured left). The mother-of-two, who guzzled two litres of fizzy drinks every day, resolved to overhaul her lifestyle and began going to the gym twice a day. Within 12 months, Kayla had lost 110lbs (7st 8lbs) and dropped from a US size 18 (UK 22) to a US 8 (UK 12) - showing off her new slimmer figure while acting as a bridesmaid at another family wedding a year later (right).

A teacher who learned to greet her pupils in the 35 languages spoken at her deprived inner city school has been named the best teacher in the world. Andria Zafirakou, 39, was selected from thousands of applicants around the world for her work with migrant children at Alperton Community School in Brent. And now the arts and textiles teacher has won the prestigious annual Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize worth one million dollars (£717,000).

This is the horrifying moment a man is hacked with a machete after a controversial Filipino 'cult' claimed it granted devotees 'bulletproof powers'. Footage shows a member of the religious group 'Iron King' performing a bloodless but painful initiation ritual on the man by slamming down the knife on different parts of his body. It is believed to ward off evil spirits, cure illness and bless members with superhuman protection.

Adorable footage shows two little girls happily racing alongside a friendly horse which mimics them as they run. Desiree Tagg, 29, from Australia, filmed her two daughters Abby, seven, and Zoey, four, racing two-year-old thoroughbred Shelby up and down her paddock (left). The pair can be seen waiting excitedly for their mum to shout 'ready, steady, go' as Shelby lines up next to them on the other side of the fence. Desiree, from Watanobbi in New South Wales, said watching her children regularly play with Shelby has left her in awe of the young horse's strong bond with them (right Abby and Zoey stroke Shelby's nose).
