A woman was screaming and urging him to open the door saying she was trying to get away from danger, according to a GoFundMe page set up for Morrison. When he opened the door, the 'female charged into him, striking him repeatedly in the face'. According to Morrison's account, two men then rushed into his home behind the woman and they also assaulted him. He was later found outside his front door when Portland police responded to his home near Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard and Liebe Street. Morrison underwent surgery and stayed in the hospital for days. Portland police are still investigating the attack.
