Bella Hadid reveals she was riddled with insecurities during her early teens.

The 21-year-old model is one of the most recognised faces in the fashion industry, but the Dior ambassador admitted to only 'recently' feeling comfortable with her appearance after her weight and thin eyebrows left her feeling insecure when she was a teenager.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan.com, the brunette beauty confessed: 'I think I had more beauty insecurities growing up than probably anybody.

'Growing up, I was always self-conscious about my brows but I never knew that you could do something about it. I've always had really thin brows, I got them from my dad.

'I was also kind of chubbier growing up until I was 15, so there were a lot of things I had to grow into - I definitely had to grow into my face a lot. I wasn't very secure with myself until recently.'

However, Bella is now a fan of her striking features and only chooses to enhance her brows by filling them in with a pencil.

She said: 'Fake it till you make it, I guess. Brows are such a beautiful part of a woman and a man's face, so to be able to enhance them now is revolutionary for me.'

And the Victoria's Secret model also likes using a subtle contour to add a bit of definition to her face, applying her favourite Dior contour product to help her look 'healthier' after she was diagnosed with Lymes disease in 2012.

She explained: 'I don't contour every day, but it's life-changing for sure. I mean, contouring your nose and jawline. Whew!

'I like the Dior Contour. They're amazing because they blend really well; they just look like part of your skin. And blush, when I was really sick over the past couple of years, blush helped me look and feel healthier, which makes your confidence go up. It was that and growing older, which just makes you feel more confident.'
