In one year, a counselor in California can help guide hundreds of students in their college ambitions. The tools below can help counselors gain efficiency and stay informed about UC admission news.
UC Admissions Calculator
The UC Admissions Calculator will tell freshman applicants if they are in the top 9 percent of California high school graduates and eligible for UC admission through the statewide path. It is not a predictor of whether specific campuses will admit a student.
UC Scout Online Learning
Scout from University of California provides high quality curricular choice and opportunity to middle schools and high schools in California, across the nation and beyond. It is a full-service online learning platform for students interested in Advanced Placement, Honors, credit recovery, or “a-g” college prep courses. California public school students are eligible for a full discount on Scout courses—contact an Academic Talent Scout to learn more.
California Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP)
The California MDTP provides math assessment tools to help evaluate the math courses your students need to be fully prepared for success at the UC level.
Financial Aid Tools
To be considered for any form of financial aid, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or a California Dream Act Application for the upcoming academic year—applications should be submitted by March 2 for priority consideration. The FAFSA is available beginning on October 1, 2017 for fall 2018 applicants.
