Welcome to the UC Davis Community and congratulations to you and your graduate!

Undergraduate colleges and Graduate Studies hold their commencement ceremonies in the Pavilion and the professional schools hold their commencements in the Mondavi Center. Please follow the links above for relevant and facility specific information.

Tickets

Tickets are required to access all commencement ceremonies (with the exception of Graduate Studies). Ceremonies held in the Pavilion require tickets for all guests except children under 2 years old. Ceremonies held in the Mondavi Center require tickets for all guests including babies.

Ceremonies are shown live and can be seen after the conclusion of the ceremony at http://commencementvideo.ucdavis.edu/

Travel Accommodations

Visit the Yolo County Visitor’s Bureau for accommodations in the area. Please note that accommodations are limited and reservations should be made well in advance. Please allow plenty of time after the ceremony has concluded to travel to restaurant reservations.

Solano County and Sacramento also offer nearby accommodations.

Audience Courtesy and Safety

UC Davis is very proud of the accomplishments of each and every student and we want the ceremony to be a pleasant experience for all. We ask that you respect the rights and feelings of other participants and guests by remaining in your seat until all of the candidates have been recognized and the ceremony has concluded. In consideration of the graduates, speakers, and the safety of all guests, the following items are prohibited:

  • Air horns, beach balls or other distracting items
  • Tobacco products
  • Alcohol
  • Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • Weapons of any kind including firearms and knives
  • Drones (UAS - Unmanned Aircraft Systems) or other model aircraft
  • Animals except for service dogs (More Info)
  • Tripods
  • Monopods allowed only in Pavilion

Any prohibited items found in the venue will be confiscated. Additionally, pagers and cell phones should be turned off or to silent mode during the ceremony. Please consider the safety of others and do not stand in or block the aisles or walkways of the venue.
