She wore her highlighted brown hair in loose curls, and she paired her Easter Sunday-worthy outfit with a pair of nude pumps.

The first lady was introduced by State Department spokeswoman Heather Ann Nauert, and during her speech, she noted that courage is 'what sets apart the heroes from the rest.'

'Courage is the quality most needed in this world, yet it is often the hardest to find,' she said. 'Courage sets apart those who believe in higher calling and those who act on it. It takes courage not only to see wrong, but strive to right it.

'Courage is what sets apart the heroes from the rest. It is equal part bravery and nobility. The women of courage we honor here today are heroes,' she continued.

Melania remained on stage to pass out the awards to the 10 honorees, taking a moment to pose for photos with each one of them.

Among the recipients was Aiman Omarova of Kazakhstan, a lawyer who specializes in sexual abuse crimes committed against women and children, and Dr. Julissa Villanueva of Honduras, a forensic pathologist who oversees the Honduran Attorney General's Forensic Medicine Department.

Melania's somewhat rare public speech took place amid allegations that President Trump had affairs with porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal in 2006.

The White House has denied both affairs, and the allegations didn't stop Melania from having a jam-packed day as first lady on Friday.

In addition to the awards ceremony, she received a special White House visit from two sisters. Natalie and her little sister Celia traveled from Clarksburg, Maryland, to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to bake cookies for the first lady.

Photos of the meeting were shared on the FLOTUS Instagram page, and Melania appears to delighted to have the chance to meet the girls.

'A big thank you to Celia and her big sister Natalie from Clarksburg, MD for traveling to the @WhiteHouse to visit!' she wrote. 'I had a wonderful time watching you bake cookies! #ChocolateChipCookies.'

Just one day before, Karen McDougal, 46, apologized to Melania for her alleged 10-month affair with the now-president in her first televised interview.

'When I look back, I know it's wrong,' she told Anderson Cooper of CNN. 'I'm really sorry for that. I know it's the wrong thing to do. But back in those days, I was a different girl, you know, I had fun. I was in the Playboy scene.

'I was just enjoying life as much as I could. And when I got with him there were real feelings between the two of us. Not just myself, not just him,' she continued.

'There was a real relationship there, and I kind of out of sight, out of mind with everything else. And deep inside, I did have a lot of guilt. But I still continued.'

'What can you say except I'm sorry?' she said. 'What can you say except I'm sorry? I'm sorry. I wouldn't want it done to me.'
