Watch out, Taylor! Dua Lipa challenges Swift's girl squad with her own supergroup of Charli XCX and Zara Larsson... and says it's fine to 'be competitive'

Taylor Swift is renowned for her 'girl squad' of supermodel friends, including Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne .

But the Bad Blood hitmaker faces stiff tribe competition from Dua Lipa, who recently assembled her own unofficial girl supergroup to sing a 'f**k you' song.

The 22-year-old singer said she enlisted the help of Swedish singer Zara Larsson, Finnish musician Alma, Denmark's MØ, and fellow Brit Charli XCX to sing her anthem IDGAF to show that girls could be 'competitive' without being 'pitted against each other'.

She sang the pop tune during a Radio One Live Lounge show last month with her friends singing back-up after being invited by text message.

'It was just so fun to get together and sing a 'f*ck you' song,' Lipa told Stellar magazine.

'For so long girls have been pitted against each other so being able to share moments like that showed that it is fine to be competitive and that doesn't mean there isn't room for everyone,' she added. 'You can praise them.'

And Dua's unofficial gang of popstars is no doubt one to rival Taylor's squad of successful twenty-somethings.
