'It just happened': Roseanne Barr reveals it took only three weeks to get a deal for her rebooted sitcom... after her controversial remarks in support of President Trump

With just a day left before the premiere, Roseanne Barr and the gang are promoting the Roseanne reboot everywhere.

They were in New York City on Monday to promote the revived sitcom - which is returning after a 20-year absence from TV - on Good Morning America, followed by a panel at the Paley Center New York.

The actress, 65, wore an olive green floral shirt over a lacy cream top with a matching scarf, dark blue jeans and a pearl necklace to the set of the ABC morning show, in which she was seated on the program's trademark plaid couch with a quilted cover alongside co-stars John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf.

At the Paley Center New York, she was clad in black dress with a black shawl and black gloves with grey sneakers.

In both appearances, the 90s comedy standout wore her brown locks wavy and parted, alternating between diamond earrings on the GMA appearance and hoop earrings at the Paley Center New York.

Co-stars Sara Gilbert, Michael Fishman, Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke were present for both appearances in the Big Apple to promote the rebooted program, which originally ran from 1989 thru 1997.

On the morning show Monday, Barr said that the reboot 'just happened' organically after Goodman appeared on Gilbert's The Talk last year.

'Sara and John were on Sara's talk show and they did a little sketch,' Roseanne said. 'It got a lot of attention. Sara called me and said, "Would you want to do a reunion show?" and I said, "Yeah, definitely."

'I said, "What about John?" She goes, "Oh, John's in." I said, "Well of course then I'm in." Everybody was in, and so then it went from a special to a series and we had a deal in three weeks.'

The slate of appearances came days after Roseanne made headlines with a strong show of support for President Donald Trump as she appeared on the Thursday show of one of Trump's peskiest detractors, Jimmy Kimmel.

Kimmel told Roseanne he was 'shocked' over Roseanne's previously-stated support of the commander-in-chief, as he knew her as 'a very socially liberal person in general.'

Roseanne, who appeared alongside Goodman on the late night program, said that it wasn't her that changed, but the Democratic party and its supporters who'd gone off the deep end.

'I’m still the same: You all moved! You all went so f*****g far out you lost everybody! I mean, seriously,' she said. 'A lot of us, no matter who we voted for, we don’t want to see our president fail.'

She asked Kimmel if he would prefer if Trump's Vice President Mike Pence - controversial for many of his own views and actions - were to sit in the big chair. She said: 'We don’t want [Mike] Pence! Are you f*****g kidding me? You want Pence? You want Pence for the freaking president? Well then, zip that f*****g lip!'

Roseanne returns to the air Tuesday at 8/7c on ABC.
