Medal-worthy abs! Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy shows off his athletic body as he strips down to nothing but his briefs in provocative cover shoot for Gay Times magazine

  • UK-born Gus, 26, competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics for the US and came in 12th place

Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy has stripped down for a steamy photoshoot in UK's Gay Times magazine.

The 26-year-old American freestyle skier, who was born in the UK, poses shirtless for the cover of the latest issue — and teases even more skin inside, wearing nothing but a pair of tight white briefs.

Inside, the hunky athlete talked to the publication about LGBTQ representation at the Olympics, his boyfriend, and what it was like to meet icon RuPaul.

On the cover, Gus wears blue jeans and a denim jacket, with no shirt underneath. He stands with his thumbs in his waistband, his six-pack on full display.

He goes totally shirtless in other shots, but makes for equally steamy pictures in a soaking wet T-shirt, too.

In a particularly revealing image, the Olympian wears a pair of tighty-whiteys and an open button down, then ditches the button-down for another shot in just his underwear.

Gus grew up in Telluride, Colorado and won a silver medal at the Sochi Olympics in 2014. He competed again at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, where he finished in 12th place.

He has also won several medals at the X Games, gold at the New Zealand Winter Games, and the AFP World Championships overall titles in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

Right on: He said we are going to start to see 'more out people and more and more people are going to feel that they belong and that they’re included'

He said: 'It will encourage more people to live their truth, to be brave and to be bold'

He spoke to the magazine about LGBTQ representation at the Olympics this year, when a record 15 out LGBTQ athletes competed, including three from the US.

The Americans included Gus himself, speedskater Brittany Bowe, and figure skating darling Adam Rippon.

There was also pairs figure skater Eric Radford from Canada, cross-country skier Barbara Jezeršek and snowboarder Belle Brockhoff from Australia, and other athletes from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands

'This isn’t the first Winter Olympics where we’ve had gay athletes competing, but it’s incredible that it’s the first where we’ve had out gay athletes competing,' Gus said.

'And we’re not going to see fewer out people in the future, we’re going to see more out people and more and more people are going to feel that they belong and that they’re included. It will encourage more people to live their truth, to be brave and to be bold.'

Something different: Gus talked about the pressure of dating in the public eye

Just part of it: He said people assume his life is what they see on social media

He has experienced that bravery on his own, having a relationship in the public eye — which he said adds certain new pressures.

'It's weird having that added pressure of people watching,' he said. 'They see your life through Instagram and vacation photos and really cute moments. They assume our relationship is perfect and I'm like "It’s not."

'It’s a struggle because it’s long-distance sometimes and we can go weeks or months without seeing each other, we’ll fight or get mad at each other on the phone. But that’s normal and I love Matt [Wilkas]. He’s great. He’s a very good listener, a great talker, he’s very open and honest and trustworthy. He has so many amazing qualities.'

He also hopes that bringing more gay relationships to the public eye will change the way they play out.

'As gay love and gay marriage become more normalized in society, it’s sometimes expected that we emulate straight relationships and I don’t think the two work the same way,' he said.

Seriously big deal: Gus recently met RuPaul and said 'he was so charming and I¿d never been more starstruck in my entire life'

Gus is also a big fan of RuPaul's Drag Race, and he'd previously shared how upset he was to miss the show while in South Korea.

My favorite show to binge watch is obviously RuPaul’s Drag Race, but I could not stream it in Korea. I could not figure it out,' he told Logo.

'Adam [Rippon] actually told me that the figure skaters were streaming RuPaul’s Drag Race, which made it more frustrating that I was in the mountain village by myself, searching on my computer, not being able to figure it out,' he added.

Luckily, he's been able to make up for that since coming back home, and recently met host RuPaul himself.

'He was so charming and I’d never been more starstruck in my entire life. He was incredibly sweet and gave me a great big hug,' Gus told Gay Times.
