Victoria Beckham takes fashion inspiration from a laundry bag in eccentric purple tartan dress

She's always been a trendsetter in her own right.

But Victoria Beckham seemed to have taken some unusual fashion inspiration from a household item as she headed to the Martin Margiella exhibition at the MusÈe des Arts DÈcoratifs museum in Paris, France on Wednesday.

The 43-year-old former Spice Girl dressed her figure in a chic tartan dress of varying purple hues that partially resembled a laundry bag.

Victoria ensured all focus on her as she headed out in the fashion capital of the world.

The sensational garment sported buttons down the middle and cinched in her waist before skimming the rest of slender figure.

Victoria's ankle-grazing number flashed a peek of her towering maroon-coloured boots as she strutted along in the rainy weather.

Get set for next season in a check print midi skirt like VB's

Quite how Victoria Beckham keeps on coming up with so many winning looks season after season is beyond us!

Of course the Spice Girl turned designer is her very own best model, and this time she took the opportunity to model a matchy matchy combo from the Pre-Fall '18 collection.

We love the lilac shade and bold check design of her shirt and skirt, but it's the latter that really makes us want to go on a shopping spree. The midi length is super flattering, so although this style isn't available to buy, read on to recreate the look...

Click (right) to shop the current Victoria Beckham collection at NET-A-PORTER, or check out (no pun intended, we promise...) the similar skirts we've picked out for you in the edit below.

From Zara to Rosie Assoulin, we've got all budgets covered, but our favorite has got to be this previous season VB piece, now available at The Outnet.

The former songstress stuck to her signature beauty look, cladding her features in a glamorous coat of make-up, as well as a pair of shades.

Her brunette locks were piled into an effortless updo and she toted her belongings in a wine-coloured shoulder bag.

Victoria's outing comes after Variety reported that she will reunite with her Spice Girls bandmates for an animated adventure with characters based on the band, known as Posh, Scary, Baby, Ginger and Sporty.

Sources told the publication that the characters will be voiced by the singers, better known now by their real names; Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm.

The insider explained: ‘They are fired up about the idea. It’s perfect for them because it won’t involve too much of their time.

'They can record voice-overs while working on their solo projects – and the animated versions of the girls can look years younger without everyone wondering if they’ve had surgery.’

The group hopes it will be the first of many animated superhero feature films that will spawn lucrative hit soundtrack albums.

‘They’re thinking big in terms of a franchise on a global scale,’ said the source.

Creative Artists Agency, which represents the group, is pitching the project to major Hollywood studios.
