It’s been a while since I did a general up date and, if you’re a regular reader, you’ll see it’s been a while since I posted much at all. A lot has been going on, and not all of it great, so I thought it was a good time to do a life update.

I think the obvious starter is in the title – I’m part way through getting divorced. Gosh it seems odd writing that to such a, potentially, wide audience but I feel like it’s necessary especially considering any older readers will have seen posts about the wedding, or even us moving in together. I don’t want to go in to a lot of detail, it’s our business, but it’s been the expected levels of difficult and there’s a long way to go to adapt to life as a single parent again. But family and friends have been utterly wonderful, the kids are worth it all, and there’s an awful lot to look forward to in pretty much every aspect of our lives.

I have been wanting a new phone for a little while and had planned to wait until the Samsung S9 came out so that I could grab an S8 as they would, undoubtedly, drop in price – Sensible, logical, and totally not what happened. When I was browsing Facebook, one afternoon, a targeted ad from Samsung popped up (see they aren’t all bad!) saying that if you pre-ordered an S9 you could get it for £19.99 a month (if approved for the 0% finance) and suddenly an S8 didn’t seem so appealing anymore. I’m going to let you know how well I’m getting on with the Samsung S9 as well as show you some gorgeous cases that Gear4 have sent me to keep it safe, as well as pretty.

Gemporia asked if they could send me one of their new birthstone candles a few months ago but, due to some postal issues, mine got lost. It’s a shame as their birthstone candles look absolutely beautiful and I’d have really loved an amethyst one (I’m a February birthday) but my disappointment was short lived when they told me they had something perfect in mind to send me instead.

When Prestige offered to send me one of their bouquets of Mother’s Day Flowers I had no hesitation to say yes. For many years I didn’t really understand the desire for cut flowers as they didn’t live long, but over the past year or so I’ve really come to love them and whenever I get the chance to buy some flowers to brighten up the living room I will. Prestige is one of those brands I’ve heard of many times before but not, yet, ordered from and I was intrigued to see what their Mother’s Day flowers range contained – https://www.prestigeflowers.co.uk/mothers-day-flowers

I did not think I was going to get the January 2018 Lip Monthly post done in January as it comes all the way from the US, and because my account said my bag was still in the warehouse, but it arrived a few days ago, much to my surprise! I am rather happy that I can get my post up in January, even if I am still behind the US bloggers of course haha.

Lip monthly is $12.95 plus shipping (if you’re in the UK, not sure if there’s shipping in the US) of $3.99 – When added together this comes in at around £13 which means you’re safe from customs and is about the same price as most UK subscription services. If you want to sign up you can use the code 50OFF to get your first bag for half price, and if you use my referral link I’d be incredibly grateful! https://lipmonthly.com/referral/rJcd90ExM
