Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola skipped Jersey Shore spin-off 'to avoid potentially toxic situations'

Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola explained Friday why she was the only original castmember to skip MTV's Jersey Shore Family Vacation spin-off.

'I am at a completely different place in my life right now,' the 31-year-old reality star wrote to her 7.1M social media followers.

'I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially TOXIC SITUATIONS.'

The Sweetheart Styles designer was likely referring to her tempestuous on/off relationship with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro (2009-2015), but he denied Thursday that he was the reason she stayed away.

'No bad blood. I'm supporting everything she does,' the Bronx-born 32-year-old told Entertainment Tonight.

'Me and Sammi have been done for about three years. I've done a single show, Famously Single, I had multiple relationships. We ended on a term that it is what it is, and she chose to move on in a chapter in her life that did not choose Jersey Shore. 

'I chose Jersey Shore, and we all support her as a group. Whatever makes her happy, makes her happy. I can't judge her for it.'

'I feel like marriage is a big pressure on some people. It's like, if I love you, you love me, let's enjoy our lives.'

Meanwhile, Sammi fell in love with her 'soul mate' - Code Green Solar consultant Christian Biscardi - nearly two years ago, and they founded a fitness company called The Strength Spot.
