'I can't forgive her': Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans says her mother Barbara is 'very upset' she's not invited to her wedding with David Eason

Jenelle Evans isn't going to let her years-long rift with her mother Barbara follow her down the wedding aisle.

Jenelle, appearing at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday, told US Weekly her mom is 'very upset' not to be on the invite list for her September 23 nuptials to her fiance, David Eason.

The 25-year-old reality star said that communications with her mother have been strained amid the upcoming wedding date, as Barbara looks to avoid the uncomfortable topic amid the lack of an invite.

Jenelle said her mother 'makes side comments here and there saying, "Well, you're not inviting me to your wedding, so I don't even want to talk about it." And I'm like, "I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, I'm just telling you this is what I need to do to get ready."'

The Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom author revealed that the cause of the ongoing rift centers around her eight-year-old son Jace, following years of a custody battle between mother and daughter that 'hasn't been resolved.

'I can't forgive someone that's just not going to give me back my son, so, and it's still going on,' Jenelle said. 'And if I had custody of him now, maybe I would have invited her, but I'm not at the moment.'

Last month, Barbara groused to People that the lack of an invite was 'very painful,' adding that the MTV star also was not inviting her older sister Ashleigh or older brother Colin.

She said, 'The smallest one, Kaiser, is going to be the ring bearer and my oldest son Jace, he's going to walk me down the aisle and the two girls are gonna be the flower girls.'

She described her wedding dress as 'modern lace,' adding, 'It's very slim-flitting and … it's not poofy,' while noting that she won't be holding her guests to any sort of black tie requirements, as she's planning a wedding with 'a rustic Southern theme' that's 'gonna be laid-back.'

She said she's told her male guests, 'You guys could come in jeans and a button-up. It's fine with me.'
