'It was a brutal trip down memory lane': Olivia Attwood admits she's ‘grateful’ her reality show with ex Chris Hughes was cut short after the 'strain' of filming caused her to lose weight

They've been spotted looking friendly after reuniting at Cheltenham festival earlier this week.

But Olivia Attwood revealed she found re-watching her relationship with ex boyfriend Chris Hughes, 25, break down on their ITVBe reality show Crackin' On 'hard to watch' - and was glad the filming of their spin-off was cut short.

In her New! Magazine column, Olivia, 26, revealed she watched the second episode of the series which featured a heated argument between the former couple in a car on the way to the airport.

In last week's episode, Chris had kicked off after pictures of Olivia 'all over' a man at a club with pal Amber Davies had been published by a tabloid, causing a bitter spat between the two.

The reality star revealed she lost weight due to the 'strain' of the relationship, which made her look 'really ill', and her gaunt appearance on the show left many family members seriously worried about her health.

She said: 'I found the scenes in the car really hard to watch because I could see in my face that I looked really ill and drained from the whole situation.

'I looked totally defeated and I got a lot of my friends and family texting to say they were crying watching it.'

As she relived the intense argument, Olivia called the filming of their spin-off show a 'brutal trip down memory lane' and was grateful they only continued filming enough for one more episode.

'Do you know what, the show airing has been such a bittersweet experience for me and I'm so glad that we didn't do any more because I don't think I'd be able to live through it. '

Chris and Olivia split in February - a few weeks before the show aired for the first time and their constant bickering and arguments led to the reality spin-off being cut from six episodes to three.

The pair met on Love Island back in June, but confirmed they had parted ways last month after several rocky months as a couple.

Olivia had previously opened up having relive the moment the pair finally split for good.

The spin-off - which will finish on Wednesday - is set to feature the emotional break-up between the two, but had to filmed after the couple called it quits over the phone.

Olivia told the publication at the end of February that the actual break-up lasted two minutes after Chris simply said 'I want out', and demanded the pair relive the moment for the cameras.

She said: 'The night before filming he texted me saying "we're actually going to film this break-up". I was like "I'm absolutely not doing it".

The two reached a standoff before Olivia finally caved to filming the scenes for their show, recalling: 'Once production are involved, it's very difficult and in the end I thought, "this is what he wants, just do it".

Earlier this week, Olivia discussed their relationship over Snapchat while talking about their reality show, which she described as 'like when you go out and get drunk.'

She added: 'Then you watch your Snapchat story the next day and think: "What have I done?" It was like that. But for the last six months.

'I was watching and thinking: "What am I doing?" There's some lovely memories there. It's hard but on the whole it's been nice.
