A woman who shot to fame on the ITV show Airline revealed she's battled cancer a staggering seven times, as she joined her former cast-mates on This Morning 15 years after the hit show left screens.

Katrina Leeder, now 43, was battling the illness for a second time while appearing on the show, which followed her day to day life as an easyJet check-in assistant, and that of her colleagues.

But today Katrina, who is now in remission, revealed the disease returned five more times in the interim, and that she has lost organs including her kidney and spleen while battling her way back to health.

The emotional interview saw Katrina hailed as 'inspiring' and 'a fighter' by Airline fans, who were thrilled to see the stars of the show back together.

Katrina was joined on This Morning by her co-stars Leo Jones and Jane Boulton, who revealed what they had been up to since the show finished in 2007.

But it was Katrina's admission that she'd battled cancer since leaving that really struck a chord with viewers.

She said: 'On airline you see me have cancer number two. I've had it seven times now. I left Easy Jet, I actually left and had cancer again but I didn't tell anybody I kept it very quiet.

'I lived a private life and unfortunately over all those years I've now had it seven times and lost seven organs but I'm still here.'

Katrina has lost her kidney, spleen, part of a lung, part of her diaphragm, half her stomach, her gallbladder and 70 per cent of her liver, but is now in remission.

She first battled cancer at the age of just 16 before she worked for the airline,

After leaving the show she went on to have two daughters and is no longer working for easyJet.

She said: 'I live each day, every day is very precious for me very important. I live each day as it comes and grasp what I can. Every day I’m here I bless those two girls that I’ve got more time with them.'
