He has driven in some tough terrains across the world.

But it appears Jeremy Clarkson's cars aren't above a technical blunder, as he was left stranded on Friday after his SUV broke down.

The 57-year-old TV presenter was spotted waiting for a mechanic in Rotherhithe, south-east London, with his car stuck by the pavement, as he took a break from filming the third installment of his Amazon series.

Onlookers said Jeremy was in good spirits as he waited for his car to be repaired, chatting with passers-by while a breakdown crew got to work on the vehicle.

The SUV appeared to be a DS7 Crossback Ultra Prestige priced at £43,580, and Jeremy had taken to Instagram hours before the breakdown to share a snap of his new ride.

MailOnline has contacted a representative of Jeremy Clarkson for more information.

Jeremy's driving blunder came as he took a break from filming the third season of The Grand Tour, after tweeting last week that production on the Amazon series had resumed.

Getting behind the wheel of a Lamborghini, teasing 'How's your day going?' the presenter shared a picture following another car in the snow as he wrote: 'Season 3 filming is underway'.

The Grand Tour is one of Amazon's flagship shows – and it pumped a massive £100 million into making three series.

Last week, sources told The Mail On Sunday that 'there was nothing to suggest' Jeremy and co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May were planning a fourth season when filming was complete in the summer.

A source said: 'No one has signed anything and employees are wondering where everyone will go once filming wraps.'

However, Jeremy later denied the report on Twitter.

Clarkson, Hammond and May signed a multi-million-pound deal to move to Amazon's subscription service in 2015.

The trio's big-money move came after Jeremy's BBC contract was not renewed following an incident in which he attacked a Top Gear producer.
