Sharon Stone makes her getaway as she jets out of Los Angeles after a day spent at star-studded industry event touting Emmy contenders

Sharon Stone looked to be in a fantastic mood on Sunday as she made her way through LAX in a casual ensemble after appearing at an entertainment industry event touting potential Emmy contenders.

The Basic Instinct star, 60, was clad in a long-sleeved white sweater with horizontal black stripes over a black top with thin white stripes.

The Academy Award-nominated actress wore black Capri pants with a white drawstring, and black slip-on shoes.

Sharon, who has three sons - 17-year-old Roan, 12-year-old Laird and 11-year-old Quinn - wore a beaded brown necklace and had a black shirt over her shoulder as she traversed through the terminal.

She wore tinted aviator glasses and had her short locks teased and wavy on the travel day.

Earlier Sunday, the actress - one of the premiere stars of the 1990s in sexy thrillers such as Basic Instinct and Sliver - appeared onstage at the Deadline’s The Contenders Emmys event held at the DGA Theater in Hollywood.

There, Stone opened up about her latest project, an HBO miniseries titled Mosaic, a murder mystery in which she plays the role of Olivia Lake alongside actors Garrett Hedlund and James Ransone.

'It is a great role and I feel very blessed because I took time out from my career, and to come back to this type of intriguing work,' she said, according to the outlet. 'I found it very, very wonderful.'

In addition to Mosaic, the veteran actress has a number of exciting projects on the horizon, according to iMDb.

They include What About Love, a romantic drama alongside Andy Garcia; a crime thriller titled Sunny; and a yet-to-be titled project that will reunite her with acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese, who directed her to an Oscar nomination in 1996 with her role in Casino.
