As a royal bride-to-be, Meghan Markle has her pick of the bunch when it comes to her wardrobe, beauty products and gadgets.
But there was a time when she carried far less clout and had to be a little more creative if she wanted to get her hands on the latest must-have goodies.
These recently republished photos show the 36-year-old posing in a luxury 'gifting suite at a Hollywood event in January 2012 - years before she met Prince Harry.

Meghan, then a star of legal drama Suits, was at one time rather fond of the 'gifting suite', events where stars are invited to pick up armfuls of freebies - in the hope they will pose for a photo with their freebies that will make its way into the media.
It is not known which event the gifting suite was organised in aide of but they are often in VIP areas at awards ceremonies and film festivals.

The images also show just how much Meghan's personal style has changed over the last six years.
Posing on the edge of a chaise lounge, Ms Markle is seen wearing a black short suit - a go-to look before joining the royal circle - with a cream blouse with beaded detailing.

She finished the ensemble with a pair of long grey fur-trimmed boots - an apparent nod to the cooler Californian winter weather - and accessorised with rings, bracelets and a delicate necklace.
The TV star, who was then married to her first husband, Trevor Engelson, is also seen wearing her hair in a very different style, sweeping her wavy, highlighted locks across the right-hand side of her face.
The laid-back look is a far cry from the considered, polished outfit she wore when she stepped out with her 33-year-old fiance yesterday.

It is unusual for someone who has not yet married into the royal family to be involved in a high-profile occasion such as the Chogm summit.
But the Queen, who is Head of the Commonwealth, has made clear she sees Harry and his future bride as lynchpins of her work with the so-called ‘family of nations’.
The couple will tie the knot at Windsor Castle on May 19.
