Janelle Monae and Tessa Thompson have been fielding relationship rumors since starring in the steamy video for the Grammy-winner's song Make Me Feel.

And now the pair are set to play romantic interests in the Prince-protege's Dirty Computer: An Emotion Picture, which is set for release Thursday April 26.

While they ladies have kept mum on any potential relationship, the multi-hyphenate, 32, and Annihilation actress, 34, will play star-crossed lovers caught in the middle of a futuristic totalitarian world.

In the visual album Janelle plays a young woman named Jane 57821, who lives in world where citizens are called 'computers' and nothing is as it seems.

'Dirty Computer explores humanity and what truly happens to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness when mind and machines merge, and when the government chooses fear over freedom,' according to the film's press release.

The 30-second teaser for the project, which Monae dubbed an 'Emotion Picture, shows Tessa sensually stroking Janelle's hair and leaning in for a kiss between glitchy cuts of a dance club, a brawl and surreal sci-fi.
