Prepare to laugh yourself silly on May 5th when Old Bar Tavern hosts their very own Comedy Festival! And what a line-up we’ve got for you!
Tommy is the most exciting comedian of his generation. His comedy bubbles with an irresistible energy – bursting to tell you the next story. He’s smart, engaging and capable of holding a room in the palm of his hand.
As well as continuously touring the country with his critically acclaimed comedy, Tommy continues to be the popular fill-in guy for the funny chair on Network Ten’s The Project, a role which has gained him national attention.
So far in 2017, Tommy has toured the country with his brand new hour of stand up Good Talk and has joined the Hit Network with a national show alongside Carrie Bickmore, hitting the airwaves from 3-4pm weekdays.
With an unselfconscious charm and a superb skill for finding the funny in true stories Geraldine Hickey has been described as a ‘deceptively cheery dame who’ll quietly take out your innards.’
She is revered in the industry as a comedian’s comedian and has been shortlisted for the ‘Piece of Wood’ award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival multiple times. A veteran of many seasons of The Melbourne International Comedy Festival and a regular on the club and pub circuit around the country. Geraldine can also be heard each morning as a co-host of Breakfasters on Melbourne Community station RRR
The new black face of Australian comedy!
He’s a one-man whirlwind that will have you holding your sides laughing, as he shares tales of growing up, marriage and the particular, absurd challenges of life as an Aboriginal Australian family man.
A high-energy performer, Kevin is sharp, likeable, silly and measured; mixing keen observational standup with joyfully ridiculous physical comedy.
Kevin has blasted his way onto the national standup scene in a ridiculously short time, initially making a splash in 2008, winning the Melbourne Comedy Festival’s national Deadly Funny comedy competition.
In six head-spinning years since then, Kevin has established himself as a fully professional performer on the national circuit, touring for almost twelve months of the year and releasing his own live DVD.
Special highlights have included appearances at the Deadly Awards at the Sydney Opera House five years running (2008-2013), feature shows at the Dreaming Festival, compering the Long Walk events at Federation Square, and touring with the internationally famous Chooky Dancers.
Isaac Butterfield is a bearded comedian from Australia. He doesnt give much away so we’re not sure what to expect but we cannot wait to laugh out loud at his genius humour.
Local comedian and our MC for the night, Andy is upbeat, energetic and oh so funny! He will be sure to have you in stitches!
