The hotheaded attacker has a history of scoring goals and causing scraps against Arsenal, and Simeone will make a late call on whether to start him tonight.

Chelsea stars were out in force at the opening of a new Mayfair restaurant in which team-mates David Luiz and Willian are partners. Olivier Giroud, N'Golo Kante and Tiemoue Bakayoko were among the Blues stars present to show support for their friends' new venture. The new Italian eatery is called Babbo - 'father' in Italian - and is based in central London.

Jose Mourinho has defended his record as Manchester United manager but admitted the club was a huge project before joining in 2016. In just under two years at the club, Mourinho has won the League Cup, Community Shield and Europa League, which saw United clinch Champions League football this campaign despite finishing sixth in the Premier League last season. However, Mourinho has had to watch local rivals Manchester City run away with the league this season but the Portuguese manager has insisted the club is still a work in progress.

Mark Williams pulled off a remarkable no-look trick shot to pot the green at the World Snooker Championships.The Welshman found himself snookered and had to come back up the table to make contact. But rather than look towards the cushion he fixed his gaze on the target before playing back up the table and potting in the process. The Crucible crowd loved it and his opponent Jimmy Robertson wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. Williams shook his head in mild embarrassment, refusing to crack a smile at his stroke of luck.

Cristiano Ronaldo continued his gift-giving spree with Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford by sending the 20-year-old a signed Real Madrid shirt.The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is busy preparing for a Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich in Germany but he made sure Rashford received the well wishes and jersey. Rashford received a pair of red Nike Air Max 97 CR7 trainers earlier this month from the Portuguese and is now able to toast FA Cup semi-final success over Tottenham on Saturday with his personally signed Madrid shirt.

Charlie Mulgrew scored a dramatic late winner as Blackburn clinched promotion to the Championship with a 1-0 victory at Doncaster. With Shrewsbury coming from behind to beat Peterborough, Rovers had looked like they would have to wait to secure a top-two spot in League One, but Mulgrew finally rewarded the Lancashire side for all their second-half pressure when he headed home with 10 minutes remaining at the Keepmoat Stadium. Adam Armstrong's header earlier hit the woodwork for the visitors, who will join leaders Wigan in the second tier next season.

Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons shined again as the dominant duo ushered the nightmares-into-dreams Process of the Philadelphia 76ers into the second round with a 104-91 win over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night. The 76ers, winners of 10 games just two seasons ago, are in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs for the first time since 2012. They await the winner of Milwaukee-Boston. The Celtics lead the series 3-2.
