But Charlize Theron looks to be back to her slender self as she was seen out in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
Dressed in black sweatpants and a grey hoodie, the 42-year-old actress cut a casual figure through the neon-tinged night.

Looking gorgeous even in the most easygoing of outfits, the South African star showed she doesn't need to throw on a bunch of makeup to look stunning.
Wearing only a pair of sandals to go along with her casual ensemble, the Atomic Blonde bombshell looked trim while walking alone in L.A.
The actress revealed on ET that her slim figure comes from almost 18 months of hard work she put in after gaining 50 lbs for her new movie Tully.

'There's nothing fun about that. It took about a year and a half. It was a long journey, very long journey,' explained Theron.
'And it's hard because I had press junkets and movies around it and nobody knew that I had done it for this.
And I think in the beginning everybody thought I was wearing, like, when the first photos came out, everyone [thought it] was, like, prosthetics. And then I went on press junkets and it was like nobody knew.'

'I was worried. I was like, this is taking a really long time,' she added.
'Because on Monster, I just didn't snack for five days and I was fine. You know your body at 27 is a little different than your body at 43, and my doctor made sure to make me very aware of that.
'Like, you are 42, calm down, you're not dying, all good.'

As to how the actress put on the weight, she revealed on The Ellen Degeneres Show that potato chips were her go to, 'I ate a lot of everything, but my favourite thing, my drug of choice, is potato chips. I ate them everywhere.
'I had a bag in my car, a bag in my bathroom, a bag in the kitchen, a bag in the couch, a bag in my trailer - everywhere I went, there was a bag.'
