Former Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci liked the idea of President Trump extending a White House invite to Kanye West, after the rapper called Trump his 'brother' and said they shared the same 'dragon energy.'
'Why not? Why not? Kanye has a voice,' Scaramucci answered when posed the question by DailyMail.com, after he gave a talk Thursday at the National Press Club.
West sent out a flurry of pro-Trump tweets on Wednesday, including a screengrab of text messages from a mysterious 'Anthony,' also marked in his phone as 'AS.'
'Whoa here we go,' the individual said, flagging for West Chance the Rapper's tweet that read, 'Black people don't have to be Democrats.'
On the question of whether Scaramucci was West's texting buddy, the ex-White House communications director played coy.

Expressing support for President Trump wasn't popular with many of Kanye West's followers, so he sent out this tweet too, explaining that he wasn't 100 per cent on board with Trump's agenda
'Am I texting? I can't confirm or deny that,' the Mooch said with a grin to DailyMail.com.
Later in the conversation he brought up Chance the Rapper's tweet.
DailyMail.com pointed out that the tweet was in 'Anthony's' text chain with West.
'I didn't say that it was,' Scaramucci replied with a half-wink.
During his conversation with reporters, the businessman defended the president saying he didn't believe Trump was racist.
'Kanye doesn't think he's racist,' he said.
The Mooch also said he didn't like how West's reputation is being dragged through the mud, just because he said nice things about Trump.
In the same series of tweets, West also said he didn't agree with Trump fully.
'My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don't agree with everything Trump does,' he wrote. 'I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself.'
The rapper also had nice words to say about Clinton, who is wife Kim Kardashian supported in 2016.
The celebrity couple attended last month's Rally for our Lives, which was held in Washington in the aftermath of the Parkland, Florida school shooting to push for stricter gun laws – a cause Democrats support over Republicans.
'I mean look, here's what I don't like, OK?' Scaramucci said. 'Kanye has an opinion and he has a voice so what we have to do, if you don't like his voice or his opinion he's got mental illness, if you don't like me I'm Tony Goomba and I'm a Jersey Shore cast member.'
'I'm not that. So let's stop characterizing. What we try to do to people is we try to two-dimension-alize them and flatten them, so that we can dishonor their intellectual gravitas or their opinions and we do that to people,' he continued.
Scaramucci said Americans needed to 'knock it off' and have a 'rigorous debates' on the best policies that could be put in place to help the most people.
'So Kanye has a voice, God bless him. And blacks don't have to be Democrats, you see that?' the Mooch said, pointing to Chance the Rapper's tweet.
