Osato and her late husband were only the second people to own the property after it was built in 1917.
The former ballerina's son, Niko Elmaleh, told the Wall Street Journal that she was listing the property because she wasn't able to visit the home frequently anymore.
It was last renovated back in the 1970s.
'The whole joy of living there is feeling like you're not in 2018. There's a sense of tradition about it,' Elmaleh said.
'The new houses that have sprung up around us are very much more modern in style.'
The property is listed with Deborah Srb of Sotheby’s International Realty.
