Samuel L. Jackson has been spotted for the first time alongside Brie Larson on the set of Captain Marvel.

The duo were seen filming scenes in North Hollywood for the upcoming continuation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Saturday.

Most notable about the scene was Fury's full head of hair, and complete set of eyes.

The SHIELD director is as famous for his bald head and eye-patch as he is for his no-nonsense attitude and impressive Rolodex.

But the much younger-looking Jackson added further proof the film will be set in the past, namely in the 1990s.

Gone too were his long leather trench coat, replaced by a much more formal suit.

Speaking previously about the film, Jackson told AV Club: 'We're going back now, and I meet Captain Marvel in more of an origin story.

'You'll see Nick Fury with another guy's face, somebody that's got two eyes, so that's a whole big deal. You'll see. It's prior to the eye injury, no eye patch.'

Heads up: The film is set before Fury gets his trademark eye patch, this scene showed Danvers trying to push him out of the way, possibly the incident that costs him his eye

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also previously confirmed that Captain Marvel is the first superhero Nick Fury ever meets, well ahead of his Avengers days.

In the film Brie plays US Air Force Pilot Danvers, whose DNA becomes fused with an alien during an accident, making her one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe, with the powers of flight superhuman strength and energy projection.

Captain Marvel is scheduled to be released on March 8, 2019.
