After seven UK number one singles, 34 top 10 singles, amd five number one albums, the blonde beauty said she prayed for God to grant her another hit single when she relocated to Nashville to record the country-inspired album.

She said: 'I put my hands together and looked at the sky and said: 'Please God just give me one song. Two or three would be just great. But I really need one song.'

The All The Lovers singer also gained attention for more than just her catchy vocals when she famously slipped into a pair of slinky gold hotpants for 2000 comeback single Spinning Around, with fans sent into a frenzy over her peachy posterior.

Kylie revealed that she wasn't aware of the focus on her derriere during the video but was pleased with the end result.

'Well I knew what I was wearing,'she said, 'but I didn't know there was that close-up shot. I did it, it looked good, there's no need to do it again.'

She said she wanted to address her age in the title of her new album and was more accepting of herself in the run-up to turning 50 next month.

''I wanted to address it, hence the line in Golden, we're not young, we're not old, we're golden.

'You spend longer in hair and make-up. I think I've found my groove, I'm more accepting of myself.

The former Neighbours actress, who battled breast cancer in 2005, also said there was expectation upon her 2007 album X to reflect her battle with the disease but that she didn't feel ready to put herself through the turmoil again.

Earlier this month, The Sun reported that Kylie's spending plenty of time with Paul - showing she's well-and-truly over ex-fiance Joshua Sasse.

'Kylie is in no rush to get into a serious relationship but she's certainly enjoying the attention,' the anonymous insider told the publication of the pair.

'It's no secret she was left feeling very bruised and vulnerable after her break up.'

The source added: 'She needed time by herself to get over it. Now she feels ready to move on.'

Kylie and Paul were reportedly set up by shared friends in February, a year after she and Joshua ended their engagement.

According to those close to the couple, Paul's been supportive of Kylie's 'comeback'.
