British tourist, 38, 'is imprisoned and repeatedly raped by barman fiance during 36-hour ordeal in Turkish resort after flying out to marry him'
- British tourist said she met her fiance while she was on holiday in Turkey last year
- The 38-year-old returned to resort in Mugla Province to marry barman last week
- But he then locked her in a room and raped her repeatedly, she has claimed
A British woman has claimed she was imprisoned and repeatedly raped by her barman fiance - months after meeting him while on holiday in Turkey.
The 38-year-old, from Essex, said she was held hostage for 36 house at a village resort in the Mugla province of Turkey, before police raided the building.
She met the unnamed barman when she was on holiday last year and returned last week to marry him, but when she arrived he turned violent, locked her up in a hotel room and tore up her passport, she claimed.

It is understood that the barman video-called the tourist's cousin in Britain while he was beating her.
The cousin then contacted Britain's Foreign Office who, in turn, alerted local police officers.
The British tourist told The Sun: 'I was held hostage for 36 hours and only saved when the police burst in and took me away. He could have killed me. He raped me repeatedly.'
She said he had sex with her 'at least ten times', but that local police did not take her seriously and laughed as they said, 'That’s a lot of sex for a man to have'.
She said she had decided to described her ordeal as a 'warning to other women to be careful'.
