- Meghan and the monarch appeared to have already formed a close bond
- A royal expert has revealed the nickname that Meghan could use for the Queen
She showcased an extraordinary bond with the Queen during their trip to Cheshire today, and if things continue this way Meghan could soon be using a nickname on the monarch.
When she stepped off the train at Runcorn the new Duchess of Sussex addressed the Queen as 'Your Majesty' accompanied with a curtsey.
However, editor-in-chief at Majesty magazine Ingrid Seward said that once formalities are out of the way Meghan can refer to the Queen as something else.

Speaking to Grazia she said that after Your Majesty: 'it is Ma'am, thrown into conversation as many times as possible.'
Ingrid added that there is a more informal nickname, adopted by Harry's mother Diana, that Meghan may wish to use in time.
She continued: 'This can be shortened to Mama , when Meghan gets to know her as Diana did. But never her pet name Lillibet, which is reserved for very close family and friend.'
While Kensington Palace has told the MailOnline that the Duchess of Sussex is not referring to the Queen by the nickname 'Mama' according to experts she could use it as she settles in to her roll.
Judging by their interactions today it won't be long until newly-married Meghan will be on 'Mama' terms.
The close bond between the Queen and Meghan became apparent when the pair sat down at a ceremony to open the new Mersey Gateway Bridge.
The Duchess of Sussex may refer to her as Ma'am which can be shorten to Mama as they become closer, a nickname that Diana (pictured with the Queen ) previously used
However, for now Meghan must stick to formal greetings, referring to the monarch as Your Majesty as she arrived at Runcorn on Thursday
Body language expert Judi James, an industry leader in communication, told how the Queen appeared 'completely confident' in Meghan's ability.
She said: 'The Queen is quite stoic, she didn't make a fuss of Meghan, which can make someone feel anxious. She is clearly completely confident about Meghan's level of confidence.
'They were very relaxed. At one point they were giggling like teenagers together. The Queen looked delighted to be with her.
'The Queen was doing everything right for her and made her looked like a granddaughter or a friend whom she is very fond of.
'She was almost identically fun loving and relaxed with her first outing with the Duchess of Cambridge, that's what it reminded me of. It looks as though it really brought out the Queen's fun side.'
Psychotherapist Toby Ingham added: 'The body language of the Queen and Meghan is warm, friendly, they look to be enjoying the time they are spending together.
'There is formality to the occasion as they step from the train, but the overall tone is relaxed and warm.

'When sitting together they move in towards each other and enjoy a shared joke. The impression of spontaneity and warmth.'
Today is the opportunity for Meghan to receive a masterclass from the Queen in how to conduct royal engagements.
It was around ten months after her own nuptials before the Duchess of Cambridge undertook a similar day of events - and will no doubt be viewed as a sign of royal confidence in the former actress.
The Queen has been on the throne for 66 years and has conducted tens of thousands of public engagements, shaking hundreds of thousands of hands along the way.
Former Suits star Meghan couldn't resist sporting another creation by her wedding designer Givenchy for the visit, and looked elegant in the cream fitted dress with a cape feature at the shoulders, nipped in at the waist with a black belt, carrying a simple black bag by the same designer.
And in another sign of her growing friendship with the Queen, Harry's wife sported a pair of delicate pearl earrings, given to her by the monarch as a gift.
