Beyoncé and Jay-Z mark first birthday of twins Rumi and Sir with 'small celebration' while on tour

Beyoncé and Jay-Z celebrated the first birthday of their twins Rumi and Sir while on the European leg of their tour.

The 36-year-old singing superstar and her 48-year-old rapper husband welcomed the twins on June 13, 2017 and their first birthday on Wednesday was an intimate family affair.

'They had a small celebration in Europe. It's crazy that Rumi and Sir are already 1,' a family insider told People in an article on Thursday.

Jay-Z and Beyonce embarked on their On The Run II Tour earlier this month in Cardiff and are next scheduled to perform in London on Friday and Saturday.

Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles Lawson, 64, has been traveling with the family on tour and was there for the birthday celebration for the twins.

'Everyone says they can't believe how quickly the past year has gone,' the source said.

The insider added: 'They're the cutest and doing very well. Beyoncé and Jay seem happy.'

Beyonce and Jay-Z have been touring with the twins and their six-year-old daughter Blue Ivy who also was at the birthday get-together.

The insider said that Blue has been a 'very sweet big sister' and has tutors to keep up with school work.

Beyonce made the twins the center of attention on Wednesday while performing in Manchester, England.

'Happy birthday to Sir and Rumi. We love you!', the proud mom announced to the crowd.

The On The Run II Tour follows Beyonce and Jay-Z's joint On The Run concert tour in 2014 and will conclude on October 4 in Seattle.

It was announced last month that R&B dueo Chloe x Halle and DJ Khaled will be the opening acts for the North American leg of the tour kicking off on July 25 in Cleveland.
