Noel Gallagher's ex-wife Meg Mathews poses in newly unearthed snap from Oasis' (What's The Story) Morning Glory? album shoot

It was one of the most iconic albums of all time, selling  more than 4.7m copies and spawning hit singles Don't Look Back In Anger and Wonderwall.

And a previously unseen snap from Oasis' shoot for (What's The Story) Morning Glory? in Soho in 1995 has emerged after 23 years.

The vintage snap shows Noel Gallagher's ex wife Meg Mathews dressed in a white crop-top and baggy white trousers, posing outside a cafe with friends on Berwick Street.

The blonde beauty, now, 52, married Oasis rocker Noel in 1997, after meeting him through her roommate.

The former couple, who share daughter Anais, 18, divorced in January 2001 and Noel is now married to Scottish publicist Sara MacDonald.

Rock photographer Michael Spencer Jones said that the film roll,  had been hidden in a box for 23 years, and he was surprised it was even possible to process it.

It was taken by influential rock photographer Michael Spencer Jones (who is also responsible for Oasis's Definitely Maybe and Be Here Now covers, as well as The Verve's Urban Hymns).

The cover features two artistically blurry men walking in opposite directions.

These men are thought to be album producer Owen Morris (although other sources say it is art director Brian Cannon) and DJ Sean Rowley.

Berwick Street was chosen as the location for the album shoot because of its Nineties reputation as the premiere street for record shops.

The album was Oasis' most enduring commercial success, charting at number one in the UK, and staying on top for 10 weeks.

It has sold more than 14 million worldwide, with some figures pointing to sales above 20 million. But it hasn't brought the Gallagher boys any closer.
