Coming out: Amandla Stenberg, 19, the actress known for her work in The Hunger Games, as well as the movie Everything, Everything, has just revealed that she is gay
'OUT & PROUD,' Amandla posted on her Instagram account. 'So happy to say the words Yep, I'm Gay in official print.'
'Interviewed for @wonderland by someone I stan infinitely – the fiercest garbagio pop queen @kingprincess69. Thank you to KP for providing me with such a safe space to come out. We talk about gay sobbing, first encounters with lesbian masturbation, queer icons, Toni Morrison, disillusionment as a critical step, the art I’ve been working on, and the films that I have coming out this year.
It was just two years ago Amandla came out as bisexual in a series of emotional Snapchat videos.
During a day-long takeover of the Teen Vogue Snapchat account, the 17-year-old actress, who appears on the cover of the magazine's latest issue, explained to fans that she 'identifies as a black bisexual woman', before admitting that it had taken her some time to feel comfortable about openly revealing and embracing her sexuality.

Make big moves with a small bag like Amandla
Amandla Stenberg looked red hot while making an appearance. She dressed in a red blazer with a mini skirt and heels, but she took her look to levels with this Louis Vuitton clutch.
We love the shrunken trunk style of this bag. This little tote is perfect for carrying the bare essentials and is great for the girl on the go. It's petite, easy to handle and positively iconic.
Mini bags are bound to be the next big trend, so be sure to jump on the bandwagon before it's too late! This particular one is not available online, but check out another version by clicking right.

'It's a really, really hard thing to be silenced and it's deeply bruising to fight against your identity and to mold yourselves into shapes that you just shouldn't be in,' she said in the candid clip, which was also posted on her Tumblr page.
'As someone who identifies as a black bisexual woman, I've been through it and it hurts and it's awkward and it's uncomfortable.
Amandla was a teenager when she starred in the 2012 film The Hunger Games.
Since then, she's gone on to star in Everything, Everything and As You Are.
Used to backlash: The actress faced criticism when she was cast as the 12-year-old character Rue in 2012's The Hunger Games
The American actress revealed in an interview with CBC that she was in consideration for a lead role in Black Panther, but took herself out of the running.
The beauty had auditioned for the role of Shuri in the blockbuster film, but backed off after deciding the role should go to a darker-skinned actress.
'One of the most challenging things for me to do was to walk away from Black Panther,' she said.

'I got really, really close and they were like, "Do you want to continue fighting for this?" And I was like, this isn't right.'
The Los Angeles native went on to explain how she came to view her own look and heritage as not quite the right fit, saying she would have felt 'off' if she had gone through with it.
'These are all dark-skinned actors playing Africans, and I feel like it would have just been off to see me as a bi-racial American with a Nigerian accent just pretending that I'm the same color as everyone else in the movie,' Amandla said.
The subject is a touchy one for Amandla, as she previously faced criticism when she was cast as the 12-year-old character Rue in 2012's The Hunger Games.
