Sister Wives' Aspyn Brown marries Mitch Thompson in Scottish-themed outdoor ceremony in Utah

Here's a great way to start the reality show's 13th season.

Sister Wives' Aspyn Brown tied the knot with carpenter Mitch Thompson on Sunday in Sandy, Utah.

The couple chose a Scottish-themed outdoor ceremony in front of 120 guests in the gardens of La Caille restaurant followed by a 400-person reception inside the chateau-style venue's greenhouse, according to People

Aspyn, 23, is the daughter of Sister Wives‘ star Kody Brown, 50, and his third wife Christine, 46.

The bride wore a beautiful Alfre Angelo satin and beaded gown for the ceremony, which was held outside with a view of the mountains as the backdrop.

As a nod to Mitch's Scottish heritage, the groom and Kody both wore kilts while his mother made hats for Christine and other women to wear.

They also had a handfasting ceremony, a Celtic tradition in which couples bind their hands together during the wedding to symbolize their connection and devotion to one another.

The couple, who met at a family party at her parents’ house, didn't have a bridal party but they did have 10 flower girls, including Aspyn's younger sister Truely.

The bride and groom wrote their own vows and did not exchange rings since they’ve already been wearing them for some time, according to People.

Aspyn said the couple chose their venue because, 'it’s beautiful on its own.

'There’s flowers, a beautiful view and a pond. We didn’t have to do much for décor because the venue is already great on its own. It takes away from us having to worry about a lot of details and allows us and our families to just enjoy it.'

Kody's other sister wives are Meri, 47, Janelle, 49, and Robyn, 39,  and they share 18 children.

There was some doubt about Sister Wives' future amid falling ratings but TLC recently confirmed it will return for its 13th season although it has yet to set a date.
