The 28-year-old rapper revealed to Twitter on Monday that it gives her 'something creative to focus on' when she's not in the studio or releasing music.
It comes just hours after the Mo Bounce artist hit back at trolls for 'celebrating' rapper XXXTentacion's death.

Iggy began: 'Say what you want about me posting pictures on Instagram but honestly, it gives me something else I can focus on - when sometimes I'm in a dark place or I feel stagnant.'
She continued: 'Most days I want my project to drop, yesterday! But I don't get to make those choices.'
Iggy went on to say that her Instagram photos have got her to a positive place: 'And maybe it's silly, but it really has been helping me lately to feel more positive and just keep my mind in a creative space constantly thinking of new visual things and colour palettes. I'm really glad I've got something I can do without needing permission.'

Making reference to her ongoing struggle with depression and anxiety, Iggy concluded: 'It's not easy when you are fundamentally someone who struggles with depression and anxiety but I'm hopeful still everytime that maybe, eventually things will change.
'Please know I'm doing everything I can. I really care, for you guys. And I love your messages you send me. Thanks.'
Iggy has courted attention online of late for her very risqué Instagram posts of late.
Several snaps have been her posing near-naked, while one in particular saw the blonde conceal her private parts with just a single white flower.
Monday saw Iggy not only defend her social media snaps, but also hit back at trolls for 'celebrating' rapper XXXTentacion's death.

The chart-topper said she was 'genuinely saddened' in an impassioned Instagram post, after the 20-year-old musician was shot and killed in Miami on Monday afternoon.
Iggy added that she wasn't 'overlooking' the fact that XXX was awaiting trial on charges of domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend.
'I'm not overlooking any of the things women accused him of doing,' she began in a post shared to her Instagram Stories on Monday.
'But I'm genuinely saddened by XXXTentacion's passing because it was so unnecessary. We need to think more about the things we give value to.'

According to TMZ, XXX was shot as he left a motorcycle dealership in Miami, Florida, where he'd been checking out new rides.
He was awaiting trial on charges of domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend, TMZ reported.
