England fans took to the streets to raucously celebrate into the night after their side beat Tunisia in their first World Cup match - which saw one enthusiastic reveller thrown off a car he had clambered onto. Hundreds of overexcited fans brought Union Street in Plymouth to a standstill as they celebrated England's 2-1 victory. A number of jubilant supporters were filmed trying to clamber onto the bonnet of a car as it tried to push its way through the crowds there on Monday evening. With one fan - dressed in a red England shirt - clinging onto the bonnet, the car is seen speeding up then braking suddenly, throwing the man off and into the middle of the street. The fall doesn't appear to have caused him any injury as he is seen jumping up quickly to rejoin the crowd. Another video, filmed in Birmingham, also showed over-excited fans bringing traffic to a standstill as they celebrated England's win in the streets.

England fans ready for early rush hour ahead of World Cup match

England fans from London to Volgograd watched their team take an early lead before Tunisia pegged them back from the penalty spot as Gareth Southgate's side got their World Cup campaign underway in Russia. Only 2,000 fans have travelled to the Russian city for tonight's clash, but they were rewarded early on when captain Harry Kane volleyed in from close range to give England a deserved lead after 11 minutes. Thomas Markle, 73, was flown by ITV's Good Morning Britain from his home in Mexico to a luxury hotel in California to discuss everything from making Harry promise never to 'raise his hand' to Meghan, to the prince's views on Brexit and Donald Trump. His decision to accept the payment comes weeks after he was exposed as posing for fake paparazzi photographs to 'improve' his public image, for which he has admitted accepting payment.

RICHARD KAY: It's the Markle debacle, part two!

RICHARD KAY: For the second time in little more than a month, Buckingham Palace has been caught out by the domestic whirlwind that surrounds the family of the newest member of 'the firm', the Duchess of Sussex. Thomas Markle's (left, with his daughter) bombshell television interview, in which some of his daughter Meghan and Prince Harry's most intimate secrets were exposed, left courtiers reeling. To be wrong-footed once as they were when the duchess's father announced he would not be giving Meghan away - so late in the day his presence could not be removed from the order of service - may be unfortunate. To be surprised for a second time, however, might be regarded as careless. Yesterday, as they did a month ago, sources murmured that offers of assistance had been made to the former TV lighting director.
