Sting's wife, 64, looked lovely in a simple white dress for the occasion, setting off the look with brown heels.

Trudie added a glamorous edge to her look thanks to a statement gold necklae and matching earrings.

She wore her linen frock belted at the waist and carried a pastel clutch in one hand.

Freak Show follows the story of teenager Billy Bloom (Alex Lawther) who, despite attending an ultra conservative high school, makes the decision to run for homecoming queen.

The movie also features young stars of the screen Abigail Breslin, who plays Lynette, and AnnaSophia Robb, who portrays Blah Blah Blah.

Styler admitted she was attracted to the film because she was bullied in her youth, though she believes today's teenagers have a far worse ride.

She told Metro US: 'When we came home you would have someone with a listening ear. But now kids come home, log online, and that’s where the punishment is. And you wouldn’t have a clue.

'Because kids don’t want to complain about it. Or feel foolish. They want to stand on their own two feet.

'But when you have this troll culture, and all this aggression coming at you. It’s just devastating. There is an increased in suicide rates because of cyber bullying. It is a very big problem.'

Producer and director Trudie has been married to singer Sting, 66, since 1992.

Appearing on ITV’s Loose Women recently, the musical legend was asked if 22 years old was the desirable age for a woman.

He replied: 'Absolutely not. Trudie and I were born in the 50s, she’s a little younger than me, but one of the greatest pleasures of our married life is having the same nostalgias, talking about a TV show you love or a jingle that you remember and it’s a great pleasure to have that.

'Anyway, she has the body of a 22-year-old so I have got the best of both worlds.'
