Amber alert! Bi-sexual Rum Diary star Heard disrobes as she tries on some lingerie for size

Amber Heard spent more than an hour trying on an array of sexy lingerie yesterday at boutique store in New York.

But before long the Playboy Club starlet was wandering around in a white dressing gown as she perused the saucy underwear on offer.

The 25-year-old bi-sexual actress wore her hair piled up in a bun and brought her pet pooch along with her for the outing.

In TV drama Playboy Club, Amber played an infamous Playboy Bunny alongside LeAnn Rimes' husband Eddie Cibrian, who was a rich member of the Chicago club.

But the show was cancelled by NBC after just three episodes, despite the backing of Hugh Hefner.

There were reports earlier this month that the show could be picked up again by U.S. network Bravo - although nothing is as yet confirmed.

But Amber needn't worry about not getting any more work - she recently starred as Johnny Depp's love interest in The Rum Diary.

Counting the Hollywood heavyweight as a former co-star is sure to do the actress big favours.

Amber appears to have successfully made the transition from teenage comedies to serious films, with her first big movie role in Friday Night Lights in 2004.

She has also starred in All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, Zombieland, The Stepfather and Pineapple Express.

Amber has been choosing an array of dazzling dresses at events lately, almost outshining Johnny at their premiere last week in a red number split up one side.

But the young suitors probably lining up to date the young actress are out of luck - she has been dating female artist Tasya van Ree since 2008.

She says she has had successful relationships with men and women and doesn't want 'to be labelled as one thing or another'.

Meanwhile Camilla Belle looked equally chic last night in a striped gold T-shirt dress with a chiffon skirt.

And actress Carmen Chaplin, granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin, loked stunning in black.
