Jenna Ortega counters Melania Trump's 'don't care' fashion statement at Radio Disney Music Awards

Jenna Ortega didn't mince words in making a fashion statement aimed at Melania Trump on Friday.

The Disney Channel star, 15, walking the red carpet at the Radio Disney Music Awards held at Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, wore a jacket that read, 'I do care and u should too.'

It came a day after the first lady sparked controversy by wearing a fern green Zara coat that read, 'I really don’t care, do u?' as she paid a visit to a Texas location where some of the migrant children who had been separated from their parents at the border were staying.

The Palm Desert, California native, however, does care - she captioned dear @flotus on an Instagram shot of the ensemble - and let it be known on the back of the white designer coat with a moss green splotch in the middle, and the text carved out in white.

The Stuck in the Middle actress wore a pair of beige overalls with plaid patterns in black, white and red. She rounded out her ensemble with black lace-up boots with chunky heels.

The Jane the Virgin star had her dark locks pulled up in a bun with wisps on both side of her face, and earrings.

The controversy over the coat raged on Thursday as President Donald Trump tweeted that his wife's fashion statement was directed at the media, and not the ongoing immigration crisis.

'"I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?" written on the back of Melania's jacket, refers to the Fake News Media,' he wrote. 'Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!'

On Friday, the president said that 'phony stories of sadness and grief' have been told to distract from the issue of Americans who have been killed by illegal immigrants.

'These are the American citizens permanently separated from their loved ones,' the former Celebrity Apprentice host, 72, said in his speech at the White House. 'The word "permanently" being the word that you have to think about.

'Permanently - they're not separated for a day or two days, these are permanently separated because they were killed by criminal illegal aliens.'
