I am writing in defence of Orlando after last weeks review in the Daily Mail, entitled Has Orlando lost the magic?.

Having just spent our fourth holiday in Orlando I have to entirely disagree with the writer of the review.

Yes Orlando has expanded rapidly, but only to cope with the vast numbers of visitors it receives. Was it not practical to expand, could you imagine the scenes, had there not been this expansion?

I found no lowering of standards, the locals were amiable and couldn't have been more helpful, all without the feeling that they were only doing it for the tips.

I find the people genuine and kind especially considering the wages are so low many of these people rely on the generosity of visitors.

Yes there were roadworks on the interstates, however it wasn't anything compared to the state of the roads over here.

The crowds in the theme parks were few and I don't know if the reviewer had heard of the various 'Fastpass' systems, allowing you to bypass the queues, therefore cutting your waiting times, and prices compared to those at theme parks in this country are excellent value for money.

Plus you get the fantastic weather, something that you are never guaranteed in this country.

Overall, I rate Orlando and its theme parks fantastic for any age and am looking forward to going next year.
