They've been relatively shy about their relationship.

But Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson were spotted making a rare public display of affection while walking the actress's dog Zeppelin around her Malibu neighborhood on Sunday.

The Fifty Shades star, 28, reached across the Coldplay frontman's, 41, back so they could hold hands tenderly during their stroll around the coastal enclave.

The daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson was dressed down in a blue plaid top with distressed denim cuffed at the bottom.

She rounded things out with classic sunglasses and cool slides while walking her pup Zeppelin by a leash with one hand and grasping the Clocks singer's paw with the other.

Chris looked at his darling adoringly.

He kept comfy in a grey sweater with dark pants, a blue trucker hat and sporty red/black trainers.
