Summary

The Dioptra project aims at desinging and implementing a flexible and effective mechanism which will have the ability to manage the location of mobile agents, programs which act on the behalf of an application and travel to the internet searching for useful information. 

Our main purpose is this mechanism to respond to the demands posed by an environment which deals with users who are accessing the Internet from static or mobile units with limited sources (palmtops, handhelp,wap-phones).
