JANET STREET-PORTER: Theresa and duplicitous Boris have tossed their green principles in

JANET STREET-PORTER: I'd like to see a 'three strikes and you're out' rule imposed on politicians. This week's offenders are Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and Theresa May (inset). Both promised voters they would do everything they could to oppose the expansion of Heathrow airport. Boris even proposed a hair-brained alternative scheme to be built on a man-made island in the Thames estuary and was keen to be photographed (as usual) scouting the area in a boat. This week, when MP's voted for a third runway, a decision which will wreck the lives of hundreds of thousands of residents in the South East of the UK, Boris was nowhere to be found. Whoops! Bungling tank driver loses control and  crushes a pensioner's Volkswagen Polo after swinging around a corner on a road in Belarus

Dramatic footage (left) shows two of the giant war machines roaring around a corner and on to the road in the city of Grodno in western Belarus. But while the first successfully negotiated the corner, the second appeared to take the bend too sharply and swerved onto the wrong side of the carriageway - before crushing a Volkswagen Polo waiting at a red light. The clip shows the vehicle's roof on the driver's side crumple under the tracks of the giant tank (right). Incredibly, a pensioner and his grandson who were in the car managed to escape with just a few scratches.
