Zoe Ball celebrates two years of sobriety in heartfelt post... as she admits ditching alcohol proved to be the 'toughest time of her life'
As she rose to fame two decades ago with a successful career in broadcasting, she was known as one of the London social circuit's most dedicated party girls.
But on Monday night, Zoe Ball showed how much she's turned her life around in more recent times, as she celebrate two years of sobriety.
The Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two presenter, 47, took to Instagram to share a screen grab of her sobriety badge alongside a heartfelt caption, which read: 'Special moment. 2 years no booze - through two of the toughest years of my life, I’m not sure I’d have survived intact had it had not been for my sobriety & #recovery.'
Milestone: Zoe Ball took to Instagram to share that she was two years sober on Monday night
She continued: 'Sending out some big love & #gratitude to everyone at #Lifeworks #Woking & my dear friends in the fellowship...
'[And] some extra big love to my family & special magic loved ones who encouraged me to get help & have supported me through everything.
'Thoughts and strength and love for any folk out there starting the path to recovery #strength #love #onedayatatime #serenityprayer #aameetings #rehab #addictions #recovery #calm #care #love #gratitude.'
Her message received an outpouring of support from her followers, many of whom congratulated her on her milestone and shared details of their own similar journeys.

Zoe has previously been candid about her struggles with alcohol and in 2014 admitted she broke her sobriety after six years of abstinence, which she first began in 2009 on the morning of New Year's Day following a party of 'total carnage'.
The TV host confessed to the now-defunct Essentials magazine that while she was back to drinking, she kept it in moderation.
'To be honest, I can't handle the hangovers - I'm an all-or-nothing person,' she said. 'But I know that about myself, which is the key to stopping... Now I think "moderation in everything".'
Speaking back in 2010, the mother-of-two also commended her ex Norman Cook, AKA Fatboy Slim, for battling his own alcohol addiction by checking into rehab.
Sip: She memorably enjoyed a toast on her first day co-hosting The Radio 1 Breakfast Show in October 1997 with Kevin Greening. Kevin died later that year of a drug-induced heart attack
Ladette: She was seen as one of the faces to have ushered in Britain's 'ladette' culture of the 1990s after publicly enjoying a hard drinking, hard partying lifestyle
Opening up about his decision to seek help, she said: 'I remember feeling so anxious. But he did it. What a man – he's strong, he's changed, he's unbelievable and we are solid.'
Zoe, who split from Fatboy Slim in September 2016, last month paid tribute to her late boyfriend Billy Yates on the one-year anniversary of his suicide.
In a moving Instagram post, the television presenter was pictured with a group of supporters, who were seen holding playful snaps of Billy, who died aged 40.
In remembrance of the BBC radio host's late partner, Zoe and her pals were clad in slogan tees emblazoned with the words 'Mates with Yates'.

After his first suicide attempt in November 2016, Zoe paid for a two-week stay in the Priory hospital where his mental health began to improve.
Billy - who previously worked as a cameraman on the Antiques Roadshow, The Xtra Factor and Famous and Fearless - was prescribed a cocktail of anti-depressants by his GP and private therapists throughout his life, an inquest heard.
Earlier this year, she successfully completed a 350-mile bike ride with Sport Relief in honour of Billy.
