Julia Louis Dreyfus marks 31st wedding anniversary with sunny throwback pic of herself and Brad Hall

Julia Louis Dreyfus celebrated her wedding anniversary Monday with a cute throwback snap to Instagram.

In it, she and college sweetheart Brad Hall are seen on board a yacht in their swimwear.

The couple tied the knot on June 25, 1987.

In the caption alongside the sunny snap, the actress, 57, wrote: '31,000 years ago today, I married my current boyfriend.'

Julia and Brad, 60, met while they were both studying at Northwestern University in Illinois.

He went on to find fame on SNL and then as the creator of The Single Guy while she became a household name as Elaine on Seinfeld. 

The couple, who live in Santa Barbara, California, have two sons - Henry, born in 1992, and Charles, born in 1997.

Julia revealed last September that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

She has been continuing her recovery with the support of her family and in February shared a photo to Instagram with the message: 'Hoorah! Great doctors, great results, feeling happy and ready to rock after surgery. Hey cancer, “F*** you!”' 

In August, the 11-time Emmy winner is set to start filming the seventh and final season of her HBO show Veep.

And last month, it was announced that she will be the 2018 recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.  

'Like Mark Twain, Julia has enriched American culture with her iconic, unforgettable, and outright hilarious brand of humor,' Kennedy Center President Deborah F. Rutter said in a statement.

'Over four decades, her wildly original characters and her gift for physical comedy have left us in stitches. Julia is a role model for so many, and we look forward to honoring her,' Rutter added.  

She will receive the prize at a gala on October 21 at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall in Washington, D.C.
